Shipping will be paid for by the buyer in the amount agreed upon at the time of purchase. Buyer has the option to select overnight shipping or 2-day shipping via FedEx for arachnids and reptiles, or USPS priority shipping for isopods and live feeder insects. Seller will work with the buyer to confirm a suitable shipping date. All live animals will be shipped via FedEx, except isopods and feeder insects. Buyer will be contacted with tracking information when their package has been shipped. In case of weather or emergency related delays, buyers will be contacted to determine an alternate shipping date.

 

Packaging

All live animals except isopods and feeder insects will be shipped in insulated boxes. Heat or cold packs will be added as necessary.

 

Timeline

We are only currently shipping live animals on Mondays. Animals will only be shipped as long as weather permits. Animals will not be shipped during inclement weather conditions and when temperatures are below 32 degrees F or above 90 degrees F.

 

Live arrival guarantee (LAG)

Live arrival guarantee provided for overnight shipping service or held at Fedex facility, only. Buyer must ensure that shipment will be successfully delivered on the first delivery attempt or held for pickup. Packages held at Fedex must be picked up the same day they arrive to be eligible for LAG. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Delivered packages left outdoors for an extended period of time are not eligible for LAG.

 

Dead on Arrival (DOA)

Please provide proof of DOA's within 2 hours of package delivery (delivered time according to FedEx tracking). Buyer must not discard DOA's unless instructed by the seller. Seller may instruct the buyer to take photos or ship DOA's back to the seller in order to receive a refund. Refunds for DOA's will be in one of the following forms: replacement with the same species of animal or an animal of equal value, store credit, or refund of the original form of payment minus shipping cost. Delivered packages left outdoors for an extended period of time are not eligible for LAG.

Liability

Buyer must ensure that they have provided the seller with the correct shipping address. PayPal payments will only be shipped to the verified PayPal address for the protection of both the buyer and the seller. Buyer must ensure that someone will be able to receive deliveries with signature confirmation on the day of receipt. Seller is not responsible for packages that are unable to delivered on the first attempt by the carrier.
